Applying for a NYS RDN license

Step 1: Begin your application

In order to quickly apply for your New York license, you'll need to complete your application. 

• Navigate to the New York State Office of Professionals page, and select "Online Form 1." Find "Visit Form" and begin your application.

Step 2: Verify your education

During the application process, you'll be asked to verify your education. To do this, you'll need to fill out and submit the completed form to your educational institution.  

• Navigate to "Form 2" on the Office of the Professionals page or use the form below. 

Step 3: Verify your CDR results

Lastly, you'll be asked to verify your Commission on Dietetic Registration exam results. To do this, you'll need to fill out the first section of the form and email it to the licensing organization. The majority of providers are licensed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, which can be contacted at cdrverify@eatright.org.

• Navigate to "Form 3" on the Office of the Professionals page or use the form below.  Fill out Section I. 
• Ask the CDR to email the completed form back to DPLSVerif@nysed.gov. This form must be sent directly from the CDR to be verified.
