Understanding Zaya’s MSO-PC Structure

Modified on Tue, 10 Feb at 10:27 PM

Summary

This article explains how Zaya Care’s MSO–PC model works, including the roles of Zaya Care as the administrative MSO and its affiliated Professional Corporations (Bienetre Medical PC and Bonheur Medical PC) that employ providers and deliver clinical care. It also covers how providers are assigned to the correct medical group for accurate credentialing and billing.

Overview
Zaya Care operates under an MSO–PC model, with Zaya Care acting as the MSO that provides administrative support. Based on service location, providers are credentialed and enrolled under one of the affiliated medical groups: Bienetre Medical PC or Bonheur Medical PC. The Zaya Care Credentialing Team confirms the correct assignment during onboarding to ensure accurate credentialing and billing, as claims and remittances reflect the name of the assigned PC.

What is the MSO–PC Model?

The MSO–PC model separates clinical operations from administrative services.

  • Professional Corporations (PCs) employ providers and deliver clinical care.

  • Management Services Organizations (MSOs) provide non-clinical services such as billing, credentialing, and administrative support.

Zaya Care uses this structure to comply with state corporate practice of medicine laws while supporting practices across multiple states.

Zaya’s Medical Groups
Zaya currently supports two medical groups, each operating in specific states (see table below).
