Medicare Enrollment Overview

Summary:

Learn how Zaya is enrolling providers with Medicare, what to expect, and what actions are needed to ensure smooth processing.

Overview:

Zaya has begun the process of enrolling providers with Medicare. At this time, we have active Medicare applications submitted on behalf of many providers, with additional applications being prepared and submitted on a rolling basis.

Depending on your providers’ current Medicare enrollment status, one of the following actions will occur:

  • Providers already enrolled in Medicare: We will submit a reassignment application to link them to Zaya’s medical group. This will not impact their ability to be linked to other medical groups in the same state.

  • Providers not yet enrolled in Medicare: We will submit a full Medicare enrollment application. These providers will need to complete surrogacy access steps before we can prepare and submit their enrollment.

Once the application is approved:

  • Providers will be assigned a new Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN), specific to Zaya and your practice location.

  • Zaya will use this PTAN for billing Medicare claims on your behalf.

Important Information:

  • This enrollment with our group will not stop your providers from enrolling with other medical group Medicare enrollments in the same state, as they can be linked to multiple groups at the same time in the same state.

  • Providers already enrolled with Medicare can be linked to multiple medical groups at once. Enrolling with Zaya will not impact other affiliations.

  • If a provider does not complete their electronic signature in PECOS, they will not be enrolled.

Communication Process:

  • Practices and providers will receive emails from CMS regarding submitted applications and required electronic signatures.

  • Providers must complete their e-signature to finalize their enrollment.
