Why is my bio important?
Your biography will be the first line of impression that any potential patient will have with you when looking for the ideal provider that can support this along their health journey. By reading your bio, patients have the ability to understand who you are as a person and provider, and then will determine if you are the right fit.

Consider including the following in your bio:
What kind of welcome do you want to give new patients to your practice
What’s unique about your style/approach to your work
How you can relate to parents looking for your services/why patients should trust you
How long you have been practicing
Tips to keep in mind
Write your bio in the first person (use your pronoun: he, she, they, etc., or your name)
An ideal bio is between 200-300 words
Use language that is accessible and patients will understand prior to working with you
Speak directly to your ideal client and highlight your specialty.

Things to avoid
- Don't try to write your bio with every client in mind- clients want to find a provider with an active focus area and particular knowledge of the issue(s) they are facing.
- Avoid spending too much of our bio on qualifications and schooling.
- Avoid using clinical jargon. Speak to your client, not your colleague.
